The Angel Elite sports program is coordinated by
As an undergraduate, Ghaffar was a four-year letterman in basketball and a two-year letter winner in track. He was a starter and captain on UNCP’s 1990 Carolinas Conference tournament champion basketball team. As a senior he also served as the Student Government Association vice-president.
Ghaffar attended Northwood H.S. in Pittsboro where he was an all-conference selection in cross country, basketball and track. As a senior he finished 4th in the 800m run at the N.C. State H.S. 2-A track championships. In basketball he was selected all conference, all-county and was named to both the Durham Morning Herald and Sanford Herald all-area basketball teams.
At Student Activities, Ghaffar developed several programs, including the Leadership and Service Opportunities Program, Parents Weekend and the Distinguished Speaker Series. He was born in
