Jamicia Jones

She won the 800m dash at the State Games of North Carolina held in Greensboro June 14. Jamicia is a 3 time AAU Junior Olympian for the Angel Elite Club. She also plays basketball for Angel Elite.

 


Laura Bird

Laura Bird led the Angel Elite 13U team to a third place finish at the YBOA DII tournament with a 10 point and 9 rebound average including a 15 point 14 rebound effort in the team’s win over the Lady Gators. Laura also is the starting catcher and one of the top hitters for her Middle school’s (Prospect) undefeated softball team.

 


Victoria McVicker

Victoria attends Chesterfield H.S. in South Carolina and was recently named all-Conference, all-Region and all-State. She is ranked in the top 5 in the state in assists. Victoria plays for the Angel Elite 16U team coached by Redean Cotton and Tim Heath.



Nicori Sinclair

Nicori scored 22 pts to lead her South Robeson team to a win over county rival Purnell Swett. Nicori is a freshmen and currently leads the varsity in scoring. She has played for Angel Elite for 4 years.


Callie Davis

Callie recently ran in the Robeson County High School Cross Country championship and was first among the female runners with a personal best time of 24:28. She also finished 7th overall at Lumberton High Schools first conference meet with a PR of 23.27. Callie is also participating in a travel soccer program. She ran track for Angel Elite this past season. Go Callie!!

Aminah Ghaffar

Aminah won the AAU Junior Olympic Games National Championship in the 12u high jump with a personal best jump of 4ft 10inches. She topped 31 other jumpers from 18 states to grab the Gold.  She also grabbed a 6th place medal n the pentathlon, finished 9th in the long jump with a personal best jump of 15ft 3.5inches and finished 20th in the 80m hurdles.  She was the only jumper in her age group to finish in the top 10 in both jumps.  The event was held at the University of Tennessee.  Aminah has now won 8 Junior Olympic medals and 3 individual AAU National Track Titles.

Jamicia Jones

Jamicia plays forward on the YBOA Regional Runner up Angel Elite 13U squad. She traveled to Florida to play with the team during the week of July 13. She also recently qualified for the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Track by sweeping Regional Championships in the 14U 400m and 800m dashes.


Brandon Brown

Brandon recently won a gold medal in the 200m hurdles at the N.C. State Games in Greensboro . It was just Brandon ’s second time running the event. Brandon also runs the 100m hurdles and is a long jumper and sprinter.



Brianna Chavis
Brianna led Prospect Middle School to a 30-0 record over her 7th and 8th grade years.

Brianna was the #1 pitcher in the county finishing her career with an incredible 14-0 record with 148 strikeouts and allowed just 7 earned runs in TWO SEASONS!!! Brianna pitches for the Angel Elite Dreamers 14U softball team.





Victoria McVicker
Victoria is currently a member of the 15u Angel Elite Basketball team. she recently collected 3 Regional Championship medals in track anchoring her 4x800 meter relay team, her 4x400 relay team and she won her region's 800m title (Victoria is just a sophomore at Chesterfield School in Chesterfield, SC).





Nicori Sinclair, Led her Angel Elite 13U team to the Cyclones Tip-off Classic Championship averaging 22 points per game in the four-game tournament. Sinclair exploded for 34 points in the championship game.






Jensine Alvarez, 13 of was recently selected defensive MVP at the prestigious Adidas Jr. Phenom camp in Charlotte, NC. She was also selected (along with teammate Nicori Sinclair) to attend the National Adidas Jr. Phenom Camp held in San Diego, CA in August. Jensine led last year’s 12 and under team in assists and rebounds.





Nicori Sinclair-Basketball –Leading scorer for the Angel Elite 11/12 basketball teams. Nicori averaged over 16 points per game in 3 fall tournaments for Angel Elite. Nicori attends Fairgrove Middle School where she plays volleyball, basketball and softball. Coach’s comments: Nicori is one of the future basketball stars of Robeson County. She is extremely hard working, competitive and best of all she is a polite and respectful young lady.
